  1. What stunning photos! I just called in here to say thanks for liking my post about the yellow browed bulbul only to realise that my photos are not in your league! I’ll certainly be back to see more!

  2. Great results. What lens did you use? It looks as if the ambient light was favorable, or did you use adjustments similar to the adjustment brush in Camera Raw?

    1. Hi, thanks for the comment. I used a 300mm with a 1.4x attached, ISO640. I had to up the exposure by around 1 stop in Lightroom. You’re correct about the weather, these pics were taken around 4:15pm so not particularly bright but nice enough. No major adjustments, just levels, white balance etc

      1. Thanks for the technical info. I took some eagle shots last July in Friday Harbor, WA. It was about 5 pm and the light was just overwhelming. I used the adjustment brush to lessen the exposure but was unable to get the result you achieved.

  3. Ahh ok, these were taken in late February in the UK, from memory it must have been an hour from sunset and the sun was behind me. If you can leave it a little later then the sun may not be quite as harsh

    1. True enough. The eagles I was photographing were being fed by a local farmer who puts out meat scraps at 5pm each day so that tourists can see these amazing birds.
